The Odd Fellows of Pikeville is much more than just a great fraternity and a great way to make friends. The Odd
Fellows of Pikeville is a non-profit cheritable organization who helps to sponser many different things. Did
you know that the Odd Fellows have two local youth camps? Nationally, the Odd Fellows support hospitals, nursing homes,
and much more! There are many ways to help your community and your fellow man. And it all begins when each
of us care enough to reach out and try to make a difference.
The Odd Fellows of Pikeville was established in 1890 and have been a very proud part of Pike County ever since.
The Independent Order of Odd Fellows was established in the United States in 1819 because the world was very different back then.
The things we take for granted now were almost non existent, like health care, orphanages, educational systems, care
for the elderly and for the impoverished. Even though we have come a long way, more needs to be done to see that everyone
everywhere is treated with care, kindness, and dignity.
Working together to achieve these goals and help our fellow man creates a bond that can not be described. A brotherhood
of benevolence that can only be felt as an active participant. Working together, we really can make a difference!

Mission Statement
We believe it is our obligation to visit the sick, relieve the distressed, bury the dead, and educate the orphan.
These are in our creed. We also believe it is our duty to help those in need and to try to make the world a better place.
To the world, these things may seem odd.
I am an Odd Fellow.
